Community Media Network Brings “Human Rights Exhibition” to Zarqa: Human Rights for Everyone, Everywhere
On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Community Media Network, in partnership with NAYA Community Network in Zarqa and with the support of the European Union, is organizing an event titled "Human Rights: Today and Every Day" on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at NAYA Community Network’s headquarters.
The event aims to highlight the steadfast commitment to human rights at all times and in all places, throughout the year, moving beyond a mere ceremonial annual celebration. This year, in its eighth edition, the annual event is being held in Zarqa instead of the capital Amman, emphasizing that human rights should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or location.
The event will focus on the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and reaffirm these essential values, which, despite ongoing violations in many parts of the world—particularly in the Arab region—remain humanity’s winning choice.
Through this initiative, the Community Media Network hopes to enhance community engagement with human rights issues and underline that these rights are an integral part of our daily lives. They are not just slogans or theoretical concepts, but realities that we live “today and every day.”
The event will provide an opportunity for citizens, school and university students, human rights institutions, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders in Zarqa and surrounding areas to participate. Institutions from Amman will also be present to showcase their efforts to the local audience.
It is worth noting that the “Human Rights Exhibition”, held annually as part of this event, has achieved remarkable success in previous years. Last year, the event attracted over 700 participants, mostly students, who enjoyed a variety of interactive activities and competitions related to human rights.
