Gendarmerie and women police have banned media from covering the sit-in of participants of the Ansar1 convoy in Aqaba in front of the Arab bridge company offices.

Dana Jebreel, Radio Balad correspondent has said that women police members have threatened to apprehend her and to confiscate he camera if she does not stop shooting pictures, threats have also been made to a reporter of one of the Lebanese satellite channel, although that channel has been able to shoot pictures despite the threats.

Aqaba Mayor, Zaid Zreiqat, has said with regards to the above mentioned subject that instructions were clear for security forces to hinder media members from doing their jobs, and that he has no idea about the incidents.
