In light of high prices of tomato that reached JD1.5 per kilogram, Consumer Protection Society has renewed their calls on stop exporting tomato in order to meet the need of the local market.

The society has made clear in a statement that the essence of exporting is the extra quantity the country has after meeting the needs of the local market.

The society has also asked the government to import this good to put in the market in order to make things easier and cheaper for consumers.
