The Cabinet has decided to exempt diesel, kerosene and 90-octane gasoline from the 6% special sales tax until the end of 2011, and to open the door for employment in the ministries of health, education and social development.

The 6% special sales tax exemption will decrease the prices of diesel and kerosene from 545 fils per litre to 515 fils, and the price of 90-octane gasoline from 655 fils to 620 fils, the Cabinet added.

The Cabinet added that the government plans to provide the Civil Service Consumer Corporation and the Military Service Consumer CorporationJD20m in order to maintain the prices of their products untouched.
