ATV employees have decided to start an open sit-in in front of the channel building starting Sunday morning until the government and Talal Al-Awamlah, the owner of the ATV, look into their demands.

This sit-in comes as a result of last week's decision taken by Al-Awamlah to fire 170 employees, according to what one of them told Ammannet.

AT Group administration said in a statement issued today that it has no objection to sell the ATV to the government, and it is still ready to carry on with the negotiations according to the terms set by Prime Minister Samir Al-Rifai that at least could guarantee regaining the costs of what was paid without any profits.
