The Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications, Taher Adwan, resigned from the government on Tuesday.

He told AmmanNet his decision to resign is in protest of the new publication laws proposed by the Anti-Corruption Commission  before the special session of the Council of Representatives.

Adwan considers these laws a violation of freedom of expression and media and contradictory to state reform.
