Film Synopsis:
Three to seven lines in which the film idea is presented
Film Treatment:
A film treatment is not a directing script. It should not include any
information about shots or sounds. Instead it is written description
of the story line, film characters and idea development within the
film.
Film Style:
A description of the style which the director is planning to use in
order to deliver his/her film. For example, if the director chooses to
work with a small team this could be because he/she wants an intimate
environment while shooting interviews. Another example, some directors
might choose a journalistic style to deliver their story where you
have a commentator leading the viewer into the story. Others might
choose a personal approach where either the director him/herself is
involved in the narrative or is letting the characters themselves tell
their own story.
Director Statement:
This section is where the director tells us why he/she wants to make
this film. What is driving them to be interested in the subject matter
and why they feel they need to make it.
List of Sequences:
A list of the scenes the director will be shooting/collecting
